Chairperson
Dr Jing Ping Yeo
Dr Jing Ping Yeo has more than 25 years of clinical research experience in the Pharmaceutical and CRO industries. She is currently heading up the Transformation Office in George Clinical. Until recently, she was the Vice President in Cytel and General Manager for Asia Pacific until recently. During her time in Cytel, she led the growth strategy for Cytel in Asia, servicing as the commercial and operational lead in execution of the growth of biometrics business across analytics softwares and biometrics services. Prior to joining Cytel, she was the Director for Research Integrity, Compliance and Ethics in Singapore Health Services (SingHealth), the largest healthcare group of hospitals, specialty centres and primary care clinics in Singapore. She was responsible for Institutional Review Board (IRB) operations, regulatory compliance, research integrity, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and other research excellence standards for all aspects of human research within SingHealth. She was previously the Corporate Vice President for PAREXEL International CRO, responsible for leading the global biopharmaceutical unit in project execution and for providing the strategic consultancy. In her role as Corporate Vice President, she has successfully led the strategic partnership programmes, managed portfolios of compounds from more than 50 biopharmaceutical companies. She was also the General Manager for APAC, overseeing the daily operations.

Jing Ping brings with her wealth of experience in all aspects of clinical development, including strategic planning, commercial, budget management, clinical operations, project management, biometrics, medical writing, medical affairs, quality management, audits, biobanking (tissue banking), compliance, research integrity and ethics. She is currently the Steering Committee Member for the Singapore Chapter of Drug Information Association (DIA) and has been the chairperson of the Singapore Clinical Research Professional Forum until 2018. She is also an active speaker in the academic institutions, in Pharmaceutical and CRO industries.
Vice Chairperson
Serene Ong
Serene Ong is a corporate working mom of 6 kids, 2 dogs, and a co-founder of a successful pre-school business with her husband. She has over 20 years’ experience under her belt in business development, healthcare, logistics and clinical trial experience with start-up companies, pharma, venture capital, hospital and major global clinical trial organizations in US, Europe and Asia. In her last role at Marken, a UPS company focused on healthcare logistics, she sat on the Executive Committee team and held the dual roles of Vice President of Global Sales Operations and Vice President of Commercial Operations, Asia Pacific. Serene is a strong advocate for Women Empowerment and Leadership.

​In 2023, she founded Phonenixus, a network of strong female role models passionate about women empowerment and nurturing the next generation of women leaders while supporting the underprivileged women and children in the community. She believes in continuous learning and completed her EMBA with INSEAD in 2018. She is also a trained pharmacist and graduated with a Masters of Science (Pharmacy) from the National University of Singapore, a Minor in Technopreneurship from Stanford University and the inaugural Global CxO Program with Wharton University of Pennsylvania. In recognition of her contributions to the field of Healthcare, she was awarded the "Outstanding Leadership Award" at Health 2.0 in Dubai, UAE in March 2022. She was also awarded the "Top 50 Global Inspirational Women to look out for in 2023 in recognition of her exemplary performance and achievements in creating new paths and opportunity for others in KL in Dec 2022.
Treasurer
Kenneth Lee
Kenneth heads the Clinical proposal team in Asia managing the pricing of clinical studies in the region. He also manages the Consulting and Clinical Trial Supplies & Logistics proposal teams globally to ensure alignment across the different geographical regions. Prior to taking on global responsibilities, Kenneth managed both the proposal and contracts teams in Asia.
Before joining Parexel, Kenneth was the Director for Partner Accounts in Asia at Medidata and had oversight of collaborations with Clinical Research Organizations in the region. In that role, he co-developed value propositions and customized pricing for Medidata partners in Asia. Kenneth also had responsibility to broaden the breadth and depth of Medidata platform adoption by pharmaceutical and biotech companies in Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to joining Medidata, Kenneth was with the Corporate Development function of Quintiles Asia responsible integrating Consulting, Clinical and Commercial services as an end-to-end offering in Asia. During his time with Quintiles, Kenneth held progressively senior positions across different functions including a 3-year assignment to China. In the early stage of his career, Kenneth also served as a Senior Officer with the Economic Development Board of Singapore where he advised leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies regarding potential R&D and manufacturing investments in Singapore.
Kenneth graduated from the National University of Singapore with a BSc (Honors in Cell and Molecular Biology) and from the Manchester Business School with a MBA (Merit in Finance).
Assistant Secretary
Serena Chan
Serena Chan has over 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical and CRO industry starting as a clinical and community pharmacist, then moving into Clinical Research. Serena is the Head of Asia Pacific, Clinical Operations for Syneos Health, currently based in Singapore. Country site start-up and clinical teams within Asia Pacific report to Serena. Serena continues to maintain her general manager responsibilities for the Southeast Asia region.

​She has worked across a broad range of therapeutic areas and clinical trial phases and has managed teams throughout APAC. In addition to direct project experience and sponsor relationship management, Serena has experience in training, process enhancement, risk management, as well as financial and strategic planning at the country and regional level. Her career journey has been dynamic and the lessons she learned along the way allowed her achieve success within the Clinical Research industry. Serena started her clinical research career as a Clinical Research Associate. By stepping outside her comfort zone, she went through various business roles, and that led her to Syneos Health. Serena has never limited herself, and she believes that each day is a chance to learn something new and to push boundaries.

Claire Tan
Clare is the Director of Clinical Operations and Project Management at Tikva Allocell. In recent years, Clare focuses her career on cell therapy development in the Biotech. She drives several global clinical programs that use EBVSTs and CAR-Ts to treat oncology diseases. Prior to that, Clare headed the clinical operations for the Asia Pacific Early Clinical Development team in LabCorp. She established alliance partnerships with the key centres and oversaw clinical trial deliveries in the APAC sites. Clare led the clinical operations team in Southeast Asia during the earlier phase of her career at PPD.

Nelson Wong
Nelson Wong is the CEO and founder of CSI Medical Research. He has over 20 years of clinical research experiences with more than 10 years of his career with a major CRO. Nelson embarked his clinical research career as a study coordinator in Singapore General Hospital before joining Clinical Research Organization (CRO) as a Clinical Research Associate. During his time in CRO, Nelson had been exposed to many roles that allowed him to cover various regions. Some of the recent assignments are General manager of Vietnam, Singapore & Malaysia operations and most recently the Research & Development process excellence lead for SEA. These exposures have enabled him to appreciate the different efficient processes adopted by different countries or sites and share their best practices to his teams. Equipped with such experiences, Nelson has been successful in transforming a small start-up and steering it to a regional provider for clinical development.

Celin Ong
Celin Ong is a licensed pharmacist across 3 countries with various experience in hospital, retail pharmacy and industrial settings.
She has been in the industry for 16 years which includes working as QA/RA, project management and Clinical Trial Distribution operations in pharma logistics field.
Celin is currently Vice President, Cell & Gene Therapy Supply Chain APAC in Marken. She is also a committee member of GCSG (Global Clinical Supply Group) Asia Pacific.
